Once a fine jewelry maker, we shifted our focus over a century ago to crafting badges, medals, and other uniform accessories. In 1939, founder Carl Entenmann pioneered two badge alloys—Carltone (gold-colored) and Platiloy (silver-colored)—designed to replicate the richness of solid gold and platinum without the drawbacks of surface plating, which can fade or chip over time.
